We visited a guest house over Easter. The breakfast was ok, although there was no fresh fruit juice. They had a pool which was nice in the hot weather and a pretty garden to relax in.
The room was quite cramped and the bathroom was not very clean. The location of the guest house was not great, as it was quite far from the town center and the main attractions.

Cedar Lodge is a hidden gem tucked away in a peaceful residential area. The hotel offers great value for money, with affordable prices that won't break the bank. The attention to detail is evident throughout, from the beautifully decorated rooms with cozy duvets and small beds to the lovely balconies overlooking the tropical garden and the Langeberg Mountains. And let's not forget the delicious breakfast with homemade jams that add a special touch to each meal.
Everything was perfect!

I recently had a lovely stay at a charming guest house in a tranquil residential area. The hotel is nestled in a tropical garden with the stunning Langeberg Mountains as a breathtaking backdrop. The value for money was exceptional, and the room I stayed in was comfortable and well-furnished, complete with a balcony for enjoying the views. The attention to detail was evident, with a cozy duvet and a selection of homemade jams and marmalade at breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing excellent recommendations for local wineries and evening meal options in town.
All in all, my stay was delightful and I really couldn't find any fault with this hotel.

The food was good and the scenery outside was beautiful. We were close to some wine farms and the town was just a short distance away.
The room was tiny and cramped, which wasn't comfortable. there wasn't much to do in the area, especially if you're not much of a wine drinker.

The location of the guesthouse is perfect for wine lovers, as it is very close to all different wineries and to the town. It is still close enough to walk to the restaurants. the rooms are clean and well equipped, with beautiful views of the garden and mountain range. the breakfast, prepared by the attentive hosts is delicious, with fresh fruit and cooked options available. the gardens and pool area are beautifully manicured and offer a wonderful place to relax.
One minor downside is that there is no AC in the rooms, but the ceiling fans provide plenty of breeze to keep you cool, even on very hot days.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
